If you have ever dreamed of actually doing this famous long distance trek, but are not quite sure if you can do it, then search no further. We have organized all of the details for you. We book the hotels, transfer your luggage, provide route notes and maps, all the organization without any of the hassle. We have put together a shorter version of this trek we call “The Best of the Camino”.
The Way of St James has existed for over a thousand years. On the route itself, you will follow the marker, the scallop shell, typically found on the shores in Galicia. It has long been the symbol of the Camino de Santiago.
The traditional way would be to travel each day and find a hostel to spend the night. Active Journeys offers this hike with pre-arranged accommodation, and internal transfers to cover some of the long distances to make this journey a memorable experience without the hardship. Typically it can be walked in 4 to 6 weeks, we have broken up into 14 days, taking in the best trails, scenery and experiences along the Camino de Santiago de Compostela.
